Solubility

Insoluble in water and petroleum ether. Soluble in alcohol and chloroform. Solubility in rubber less than 0.5%

Notes on Uses

Accicure ZMBT has accelerator properties intermediate between those of Accicure MBT and Accicure MBTS, being less scorchy than Accicure MBTS and also intermediate in state of cure. The vulcanisate properties are closely simiar to those of Accicure MBT. Accicure ZMBT is specially recommended for latex compounds with Accicure ZDC to give high modulus rubbers. A similar combination produces latex foams with a high compression modulus.

Storage and Handling

Stable indefinitely under normal conditions of storage.

No special handling precautions are necessary. Normal precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes should be followed. For eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
